West Denver Pushes Back

Taken From the Denver Post (10/20/12):

“Denver police are looking for a young man who fired a pistol at an officer at close range, missed and ran away tonight.

The incident happened at about 8:30 p.m. near West 17th Avenue and Julian Street.”

Of course the pigs described the person as being a POC, wearing a ‘hoodie with patches’.

“Police have set up a perimeter and were searching the area with a helicopter and dogs late tonight.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said an officer approached the young man because he was “acting suspiciously” in the area, which is southeast of Sloans Lake in West Denver.”

Real-Life Thor Hate’s Pigs!

The man accused of allegedly attempting to hit a Denver pig with a hammer back in December, is being charged with felony assault. 

James Bo-Rain Bradley “allegedly approached a police cruiser in a parking lot… in which Officer Sean Cronin was doing paperwork and eating lunch” [or in other words he was just sitting there, doing jack shit], he then smashed through the drivers-side window of Cronin’s cruiser window with a hammer. Cronin opened fire, shooting Bradley 5 times in the chest, reporting later that he was ‘in fear for his life’ [which is of course is every pigs excuse for murdering somebody]; Bradley was seriously injured, but survived this atrocious act of police misconduct.

It’s now being reported that this is not the first instance in which Bradley has had a run-in with the police. In 2009 Bradley was allegedly involved in a high-speed chase with pigs in New Mexico. During this earlier incident Bradley apparently tore through a spike strip and drove several miles before pulling over; at which point he stepped out of his car with a sledgehammer in one hand, and a beer in the other. After refusing to surrender, NM pigs tazed Bradley [although only armed with a sledgehammer] – Bradley, refusing to give-up, pulled the tazer probes out of his own chest and allegedly pulled a knife from his pocket.

First-off, let me just say that Bradley is allegedly a crazy fucking BO$$, I don’t pretend to know his reasoning behind these alleged events, but I believe it’s safe to say that he hated pigs with a passion.

On the opposite end of the heroics allegedly committed by Bradley, are the cowardly reactions committed by Pig Cronin, who shot a man 5 times in the chest, while in a car, and got away with it. Fucking piece-of-shit DA Mitch Morrissey once again has cleared the pig of any wrong-doing.

Now let me get this straight, the guy with the hammer who got shot 5 times in the chest is being charged with felony assault; and the guy who shot him 5 times is driving around Denver with a gun strapped to his belt?! Sounds like some bullshit…

DPD Officer Shoots a Man Over the Weekend

The Denver Post is reporting that a DPD officer shot a man that attacked him with a hammer.  By now we know to not believe a got damn thing the police or the media say about the victims of police shootings.  We will report more on it as more relevant information comes in.

Background

Sunday afternoon a squat in the Jefferson Park Neighborhood of Northwest Denver was raided by over a dozen officers from District 1 of the Denver Police Department.

Witnesses report that the raid was very violent, with at least 8 officers repeatedly beating one of the arrestees, and eventually using paramedics to sedate them while they laid face down, bleeding, in the street.

Four people were arrested, one being sent to a hospital in an ambulance to receive medical care.  As of Sunday night, three of the arrestees are facing 2nd degree Burglary (a class 3 felony) and $10,000 bonds.  The fourth arrestee’s charges remain unknown because she is still hospitalized.  All four have been active participants of Occupy Denver.

Press Release Today: Lawsuit Filed Against Aurora Police For Assaulting Unconscious Man Whose Family Had Called 911

Civil rights Attorney’s Mari Newman and Darold Killmer are filing a lawsuit against the the city of Aurora.  In December 2010, police were called to the home of Rickey Burrell after he suffered a seizure.  Police arrived to find Mr. Burrell unconscious and proceeded to jump on top of him and grab his arms fracturing his wrists.  Mr. Burrell is a grandfather.

Kelly Boren, Sharelle Thomas, Ana Ortega and Kristal Carrillo File Suit Against the City of Denver and Officers Nixon and Devine

On July 12, 2009 Officer’s Nixon and Devine brutalized four young women as they were leaving the Denver Diner.  The women were billy clubbed, maced, handcuffed, arrested, and wrongfully prosecuted.  The women, through their attorney’s have filed suit against the officers and the City and County of Denver.  Read the below complaint for the full details of the incident.

DPD officers Handcuff an 8 Year old Autistic Boy

Fox 31 News is reporting that an 8 year old autistic boy was hand cuffed and transported to Denver Children’s Hospital after he suffered an “outburst” on the school bus.  He was then placed on a mental heath hold.  The boy’s father Donald said, “It’s humiliating and it’s inhumane…  If you’re going to tell me that ten adults can’t handle a 40 or 50 pound child, then there’s something wrong.  He didn’t need to be in handcuffs.”

Of course DPD is claiming that they followed appropriate procedures.  Our condolences to the family for having to deal with such a traumatizing and unnecessary ordeal.  For the DPD its just another random act of brutality.

Alexander Landau Update: City Council Awards $795k Settlement

The Denver Post is reporting that the Denver City Council met on Monday and is paying a $795k  settlement to Alexander Landau.  The amount is the largest payout in the citiy’s history concerning a beat down case.  It is safe to assume that that does not consider cases in which victims are murdered.

What is surprising about this is not only the significant amount of money, but also the quickness in which a settlement has been reached.  The Complaint was filed in January and they are already talking settlement.  Of course the money fails to address the systemic issues at hand, additionally, in no way can the payout repair the physical and psychological trauma.  That said, congrats to Mr. Landau.

Additionally, two of the 4 officers terminated by Charlie Garcia were involved in the beating of Landau.  Randy Murr was terminated for reasons related to the beating of Michael DeHerrera and Ricky Nixon was recently axed related to the beating of several women outside of the Denver Diner.  It should be noted that Nixon also killed a woman in 2006.
