Tim Masters Exonerated – About Fucking Time

Tim Masters has finally been exonerated in the 1987 sexual homicide of Peggy Hettrick.  The Fort Collins PD and Larimer County DA’s office conspired, fabricated, and falsified evidence in order to convict a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks.  Masters was 15 years old at the time of the murder and was sentenced to life in prison 1999.  After 9 years in the DOC Masters was released after it was determined that investigators withheld exculpatory evidence that clearly demonstrated that 15 year old Masters had nothing to do with the murder.  Master then filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County in which he received a total of 10 million dollars.  Despite this, the pieces of shit in FOCO refused to exonerate him as a suspect in the murder.  Finally it appears his name has been cleared.  Colorado Attorney General John Suthers stated, “based on the testimony, the forensic analysis and the crime scene analysis, the overwhelming conclusion is that Timothy Masters was not involved in the murder of Peggy Hettrick…the time has come for law enforcement to officially exonerate Timothy Masters.”  Too bad it took so long and Masters lost so much.

I realize that this case differs from what West Denver CopWatch usually reports on, however the violations that Mr. Masters has endured by the hands of the Fort Collins Police Department and Larimer County District Attorney’s office are so horrific that they belong in the annals of police criminal history.  Usually brutal police just beat the shit out of people, which obviously is terrible in and of itself, however in this case they went out of their way to ruin a person’s life to the point that he had to serve ten years in the DOC.

Congrats Mr. Masters, enjoy your money and your cleared name

Solidarity with Amelia Nicol! Pack the court for her arraignment!

Anti-police terror defendant Amelia Nicol has her next court date set for Monday June 27th, in Courtroom 5G in the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse (the new courthouse, at Colfax and Elati in the same complex as the Van Cise-Simonet Detention Center)

We are calling on all freedom and justice loving people to stand with her as she is arraigned on her remaining charges, including a felony charge of possession of explosives, and two misdemeanor counts of third degree assault on a police officer.

Though the major felonies were dismissed by a judge earlier this month, she still faces significant time in prison for these remaining charges.

Let’s pack the courtroom and show solidarity with Amelia as she continues to fight these atrocious charges!

An injury to one is an injury to all. The attack on Amelia is an attack on the broader movements in Denver that have been working to combat police terror in our neighborhoods and communities.

We hope to see you Monday morning!

Monday, June 27 · 8:00am – 11:00am

WHAT: March for Marvin Booker!
WHEN: July 9th 2011 11:30 AM

WHERE: Denver Skate Park – 20th and Little Raven

Please bring extra shoes that you’re willing to lose!

The March will snake through downtown and end at the jail, joining a rally put on by the ACLU.

It’s been 1 year since Marvin Booker was brutally murdered in the Van-Cise Simonet Detention Center. The murderers are still in the oppressive positions they so egregiously abused, still floating on our dime. We demanded the videos and they have been released. We continue to demand the immediate prosecution of the Sheriff’s Deputies. The community continues to demand justice!

In the last year pigs have terrorized, brutalized, and murdered:

Marvin Booker,

Oleg Gidenko,

Mark Ashford,

Shawn Johnson,

Michael DeHerrera,

Richard Arreola,

And countless other unnamed and unreported victims…

Recently the po-lice have attempted to intimidate and silence the anti-police brutality movement by arresting one of our comrades on ridiculous charges. Now more than ever we need to show that we will not be deterred, that we will stand strong!

Rights are never given; they are always taken and defended viciously. We’ve taken the streets, what comes next is in our hands…

Please bring extra shoes that you’re willing to lose!

Pigs New Scare Tactic

The pigs in the US have found yet another way to intimidate drivers and passengers all over the US when being harrassed by the pork-lice! This new weapon the pigs are using to harass and intimidate US residents everywhere, has been aptly named – “The Rumbler”. The ‘Rumbler’ reportedly SHAKES the ground and surrounding area when a pig turns on his sirens, this rumbling effect is created by a tremendous amount of bass eminating from the patrol car. The rumbler can be FELT from about 200 feet away, it has been installed in over 49 pork-lice cars in D.C. [according to the Washington Post], and 157 patrol cars in NYC.

The Rumbler has been used in Washington since about 2007, and will in all likelihood continue to spread all over the US. This ridiculous misuse of public funding is a clear scare tactic used to futher intimidate ordinary community members in our streets. This while pigs are continuously attempting to harrass and ticket our youth for blasting their subwoofers; such hypocritical bullshit!

Here’s a a few stupid ass videos made by fucking shitty pigs about “The Rumbler”:

Update on Amelia Nicol

Update #4 on Amelia Nicol, Anti-Police Terror Prisoner
Denver, CO
by Denver Anarchist Black Cross

There have been some major developments within Amelia’s case. Amelia had a pretrial hearing today, on June 9. A pretrial hearing allows for a judge to hear the evidence, and decide whether there is sufficient evidence for a defendant to stand trial for the charges that have been filed. In this case, as detailed below, the judge made some pretty strong rulings in favor of Amelia.

As of the writing of this reportback, the judge in the case, Judge Andrew S. Armatas, has thrown out nearly all of the felonies that Amelia was facing, including both charges of attempted first degree murder, the charge of arson, the charge of inciting a riot, an amended charge of participating in a riot, and a charge of felony criminal mischief. Amelia is left facing a single felony charge of possession of an explosive, and three misdemeanor charges: one count of resisting arrest and two counts of attempted assault on a police officer.

These developments are amazingly good news for Amelia, but the fight is far from over. Amelia has made a decision to accept being bonded out at this point, as her bond has been reduced to $5,000. We hope to be able to raise the whole amount and avoid a bondsmen, and hope to have her out by next week. We really need donations to make this possible, as we may be taking out some loans or calling in some favors to make this happen. Furthermore, since Amelia was homeless when she was arrested, she will be needing a place to stay and money for food, clothing and other needs. The local movement here will surely help her out to any degree we can, but any additional funds would be extremely helpful. Please send any monetary donations to:

Denver ABC
2727 W. 27th Ave Unit D
Denver, CO 80211
Checks should be made payable to P&L Printing with “Amelia” written in the memo line.

Thus far, nearly all donations that have been raised have gone to pay for phone calls (averaging $15 per call), stamps, envelopes and paper. A big thanks to everyone who has donated to us so far!

Amelia is going to be in court again for an arraignment on the four charges that remain on June 27th at 8:30 am in courtroom 2T. She still faces one felony, and we will work tirelessly until she can beat this case

Oh stoopid pigs are so stoopid

The Columbine Courier is reporting that Denver police detective Bret Starnes shot himself in the hand while examining his Smith and Wesson 9mm in his Jeffco bathroom.  The stoopid pig thought that he was dry firing, but it tuns out that he wasn’t.  Starnes is under the impression that the gun malfunctioned, but the only malfunction it appears, is that there was live ammo in his gun when he thought that there was none.  Jackass…

Here is a clip of a dumbass DEA shooting himself in the foot

Video from Amelia Nicol Support Rally Today

RALLY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!Tell Denver DA Morrissey: Drop the charges against Amelia Nicol!

Come out today from 2-5pm at the Denver District Attorney Office at 201 W. Colfax

Join other outraged community members outside Denver District Attorney Mitchell Morrissey’s office as we demand that he immediately drop the charges against Amelia Nicol and free her from the Denver County Jail!

On May 6th, over one hundred people marched against the wave of terror that has plagued our neighborhoods at the hands of Denver area law enforcement agencies.

As the march ended, a small firework was thrown into the air. …Police used this event as a pretext to chase and tackle a march participant, later identified as Amelia Nicol, and arrest her.

Days later, the media spun the story of the march, and the small firework became a deadly explosive. Amelia was accused by the District Attorney of throwing the “improvised bomb” at police officers. She has been subsequently charged with the attempted murder of two police officers and a host of other serious felonies. She faces over 90 years in prison for an action that dozens of witnesses claim never even happened.

The allegations against Amelia are completely fabricated. The police and District Attorney are attempting to stifle and destroy a growing social movement that has risen to challenge the ongoing police terror plaguing our communities.

This attack on Amelia is an attack on every single one of us who struggle for a world based on justice and freedom.

The Denver DA has made it clear that he will sit by and watch as police officers murder, beat, and brutalize members of our community, but that he will instead go out of his way to imprison those of us who stand up against these atrocities.

Stand with us on June 8th.

Demand freedom for Amelia!
Demand justice for Marvin Booker!
Demand justice for Oleg Gidenko!
Demand an end to police terror in Denver!

Please note that if you can not join us on the 8th, that Amelia has court the following day on June 9th at 9 am at the Van Cise Simonett Detention Center. Please join us there if you cannot join us on the 8th.

Update on Amelia Nicol, Anti-Police Terror Prisoner

From Denver Anarchist Black Cross:

As Amelia’s next court date approaches, support efforts have started to solidify locally. We’ve been able to have fairly consistent telephone contact with Amelia over the last week. As it stands, Amelia has been moved to solitary confinement within the jail, caged in her cell for 23 hours each day, with one hour for phone calls, recreation, and any sort of co-mingling with other human beings.

Amelia has been receiving tons of mail from across the country, and is very appreciative of everyone who has written her. She has promised that as soon as her stamp and envelope package arrives (it was mailed by DABC over 9 days ago), she will write to every single person she has received a letter from.

Denver ABC will be hosting a press conference and rally outside of Denver DA Mitch Morrissey’s office on Wednesday June 8th at 2pm. If you are in the Denver area, your presence would be greatly helpful and appreciated. The address for the DA’s office is 201 W. Colfax, the Webb Building downtown.

Amelia has court again on Thursday June 9th at 8:30 am in courtroom 2100 at the Van Cise Simonet Detention Center at Colfax and Elati downtown. We’re asking supporters to pack the courtroom and make a visible presence outside with banners, signs, etc.
